And I have not seen a version of God that I would follow. In fact, I would view that "God" as an invading enemy.

Bishop x, the only way I would lose my family is if my family shunned me. Are you telling me that you and the LDS church are so anti-family that you would deliberately break up my family by advising them to shun me? Then again, if my families love for me is so shallow they would would try to use that love to manipulate me or withhold that love, well, it's better that I find out now then wait to f

and it's not even a protest, more working the nerves of the faithful. In reality it a flash mob sort of thing and draws its initial inspiration from the kiss arrest at temple square. Everyone would get a same sex "partner" for the event. At a given time, everyone shows up and starts walking around the area holding hands with their partner. Of course, everyone would need to stay on p

Asking permission is not at all a bad thing. If I want to use my neighbor's lawn mower, I had better ask permission before I use it or I may land in jail for theft. The owner of this site owns the domain name copy right. Using someone else property without permission is a crime. Respectful, normal people though out the world ask permission for many things, for many reasons, all the time.

Would they support you if you announced that you were going on a two year mission to convert people OUT of Mormonism?

What struck me was that according to the obit, "Family always came first for Kevin" yet in the obit Golf and TSCC came before family. To me, it read as if the "Family always came first for Kevin" line was added as an afterthought. Also, the guy worked full time had multiple callings and played golf, when did he have time to place his family first?

RfM has what I think a good overview of the resignation process. http://www.exmormon.org/remove.htm I would fallow the procedure laid out there.

Sorry, but I personally think that allowing women to officiate communion as a very small difference between the LDS and Catholics. I would bet most priests view the communion ceremony as a rather dull and tedious that they would gladly hand off to women. After all, giving women the ability to officiate communion gives women no more real power, they are not really empowered in any way other than i

Oddly enough, I think most people just believe that churches are sexist and that things like all male clergy and leadership are just the status quo. The Catholic Church certainly believes in an all male leadership. That won't change u

14722. What a mess.
I assume your wife knows about the sexual stuff, right? If not, it may help reach a solution. As for "Only resignation might help in that case, and I don't wish to push that for DW's sake.", well, what about your son's sake? I would think that it would less psychologically damaging to your wife for you to resign than it would be for your son to be molested. Also, what I quoted a

You can't trust preachers any more than any other human. Just because a preacher says something is this way or that, does not mean it is true.
