This site is set up for a certain type of discussion and has certain rules, as long as one plays by the rules, they can post here. It would be different if they said that Christians can not post here because they are christian.

I say separate religious and civil marriages. Stop granting the automatic right to perform civil marriages to clergy. Make it so those that want to do marriages as a business, they can get a permit to do so. They would have to follow the state law regarding who can and can not be married. This way the religions can do a RELIGIOUS marriage for whom ever they want. They do not have to, n

Unless they are being asked to make a gay specific cake, they have to SERVE THE PUBLIC. Like I said, we have had this conversation whey it was decided that a white only wedding cake maker could not refuse to make a cake for a black couple.

They are not being asked to do anything they do not already do. Pizza places are a "public accommodation" places which means they are give the same service to ALL the public, by law.

If you offer "public accommodation" service, yes you can be forced to provide the service you regularly provide to just about everyone. Like I said, we had this conversation before, when "white only" establishments were forced to start serving blacks. The service did not have to change, they just could not reject someone because they are black.

216. So again,
Do you support people being turned away because of skin color? The pizza place IS NOT BEING ASKED TO MAKE A PORN FILM. They are refusing to do what they are in the business of doing based on who the customer is. If you are not in the business of making porn, you can't be forced into making porn. If you are in the business of making films and you reject someone because they are gay, that is a d

Yes, they are called "public accommodation" businesses, which means they serve the PUBLIC, not just those that share your beliefs.

No, we do not have the same law in Utah. Indiana's law allows individuals to discriminate based on religious views, Utah law does not. In Utah, it is religions or business owned by religion that can discriminate. In Indiana ANY business can discriminate based on what ever they say their religious beliefs are.

And even Faux news can explain the differences: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/30/fox-host-debunks-mike-pence_n_6972090.html?utm_hp_ref=gay-voices&ir=Gay+Voices

Virtually does not mean the same and the differences are what make it bad. Even the governor has a hard time with answering questions about it. 223. Agreed.
I used the fox article to show that nobody seems to like this law, even news outlets you would think would support it.

Utah does not grant the legal privileges to corporation and individuals that the Indiana law dose. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/30/fox-host-debunks-mike-pence_n_6972090.html?utm_hp_ref=gay-voices&ir=Gay+Voices

Maybe, but to know for sure, one would have to know the state of mind of the person at the time. As far as I have read, there was no jihadist sort of statements. It seems to me that if it was a terrorist attack, would have done something to add to the terror, like aim for a town, threaten the passengers, etc.. A terrorist attack is usually using terror to try to make some sort of political s

Suicide and murder are not mutually exclusive terms. Also, mass murder does not mean it was an act of terrorism.

BTW, a person can know what they are doing and be deliberate, but all still be caused by a mental illness.

When a person is depressed, their mind is not working right. He may have been so focused on ending his pain that he did not even think about the fact that he was taking people with him. You are trying to make sense of a mental condition that causes people to think nonsense is true.

Yes, interesting, but that does not constitute a terrorist threat nor KNOWLEDGE of the INTENT at the time of the crash. Lots of people talk about their dreams of becoming famous in the "one day..." sort of context. Also, that article has experts making speculation as to POSSIBLE causes, but somehow the people here are convinced as to the cause. Makes me wonder.

Personally, I trust the media more because they are NOT over hyping this by calling it terrorism before all the facts are known. Just because an action causes terror does not make it an act of terrorism. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/terrorism "the use of violent acts to frighten the people in an area as a way of trying to achieve a political goal"

It is likely that he intended to kill himself by crashing the plain, but mentally ill (severely depressed) often do not see past their mental anguish. It is entirely possible that the co-pilot did not even consider that he would be killing others. If he did not consider the fact that others would die, then it would not have been an intention to kill them. Such things can happen when the mind is n

It does not matter if the claim is made by a theist or an atheist. If thy do not show the evidence back up the claim, it is no better than a claim made in a testimony meeting.
