Not only that but the apologists for that church are basically in apostasy from the church. I spoke on this and it is up on Mormon Expressions. http://mormonexpression.com/2011/02/episode-115-apologetics-and-apostasy-in-the-church/

Be careful. I had a link on my university web page to exmomoron.org and some info on Mormonism and I was turned in by a student saying that I was taking part in hate crimes.

Cat Stevens DID NOT write Morning Has Broken. It even notes that on the link you provided. Its an old Christian Hymn. Its in the hymnal at the church I go to. I like the fellowship there even though I am an unbeliever.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints isn't. It's a corporation and not a church. It is the Corporation fo the President. And is one of the best scams around.

OMFG!!! In the Senior Sampler from St George is an ad. "Noah's Ark Built in Utah. Metal tablets created by Noah, could identify the Motherland of Adam. RSVP bmsf@mac.com." What the hell is wrong with these idiots? Most Mormons that I have met have very little real knowledge about the Bible and Biblical Archaeology. And the worst of the lot come up with shite like this.

Anyone have a contact for the person/people who used to maintain the Mormon Alliance pages? It was a great site with lots of info on abuses in the Mormon Church. I'd love to be able to resurrect the pages.

Where are you getting your information? We've had discussions with many TBM's here. However, when they spout incorrect information they are called on it. If you consider correcting someone beating up, then I guess we beat up tbm's.

The Hill Cumorah is a glacial hill. There may not be much in the way of artifacts there but there are plenty of standard woodland artifacts throughout the area.

No projectile points in Upstate NY? Horseshit. Here's a quote on the Archaic period from that area: The Late Archaic (4,500 to 2,900 Years Ago) Human activity in southern Ontario appears to increase significantly during the later portion of the Archaic Period. Archaeologists have recognized at least three "distinct" traditions within a fifteen hundred year time period. These

I'm an agnostic. Don't think there is a god. But I like ancient texts. They interest me. Aesop's fables can teach morality. Hell any morality tale can teach morality. The Power of Myth is great. As Joseph Campbell noted.

For example: "The Hebrew Bible, in Deuteronomy 21: 18 - 21 records the Word of God when it states that God told Moses on Mt. Sinai: "If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, who does not obey the voice of his father; or the voice of his mother, and when they have chastened him, will still not hearken to them....they shall bring him out to the elders of his city...And all the men

Not of the New Testament. I use a Greek-English interlineal translation. For the Hebrew Scriptures I try to read as much in Hebrew as I can understand. Which is not a lot yet. But for sticky passages I get out Strong's and other lexicons and study it in Hebrew. I use a modern printed Tanakh and also a transliteration on my computer.
