If humidity is a problem for hubby, you might want to consider AZ instead. Western WA is a temperate rain forest. Humidity averse people usually move to AZ for the winter in retirement, if they can afford it. We call them ‘snowbirds’.

Yeah winters are long and dark but skiing is epic. So, fair trade! We don’t let weather stop us from getting outdoors.

Or don’t look deeply, just keep attacking people personally for no reason if that’s what makes you happy.

I assume you're going to scout out where you want to live before you buy or rent a house, right? If you do, you'll see that Olympia, like most cities on the West Coast, is experiencing a homeless crisis at the moment. But don't worry about that, it's just capitalism completely failing society's most vulnerable people, the mentally ill, physically disabled and drug addicted and as a result, our

We'll be in PdX tomorrow. We are glass sculptors and frequently make trips to PdX for glass supplies and visits to art galleries and we're Epicureans who love the food and shopping in PdX, especially the food carts, which are epic. Yeah, highly recommend Trails End. It's usually great music, stiff drinks, decent grub and they have a dance floor. All kinds of fun.

Love Oregon City, especially the old Blues Bar, which was our favorite hangout in the pre-Covid good old days. https://www.facebook.com/TrailsEndSaloon/ My awesome ExMo Sister lived up the hill in West Linn for a lot of years so we partied on OC a lot. She still lives in Portland, on a houseboat on the Columbia, with a boat garage, right downstream from the Island Cafe, which is heavenly on

Yes, the linked article covered all of that. I think that Rusty was so freaked out by the advent of "Mormon P0rn" that he scrambled to distance his church as far away from it as possible. "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints P0rn" just doesn't have the same impact.

Considering Washington was a slaveholder, the state named after him might be next on the chopping block. /Joking WA State just got named the #1 place to live in America by US News. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/washington But the Fall-Spring climate is not for everyone. It rains here a lot for 9mo. Sometimes it rains every day for 9months. If gray skies make you sad, you will be

I was born into it, along with 4 generations before me and on after me and I did quit when I found out how deeply, unapologetically racist it was. I made all the lame excuses for the racism over the years, but when I found I couldn’t open my scriptures without seeing how racist and white supremacist they still are, I could no longer deny the blatant racism to myself or to my children.

I guess the take away is theoretical physicists don’t agree, because it’s all theoretical. I agree with Mtheory, which Hawking even wrote was our best candidate for a unified theory of everything, what Einstein called, “the mind of god”.

Antimatter 101 https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/article/antimatter-101/ "For every kind of matter particle we know about, there is an antimatter “opposite.” Physicists have observed antimatter versions of electrons, protons and neutrons. We’ve even made a few antimatter atoms, including anti-hydrogen and anti-helium. In fact, the only thing stopping us from making an entire anti-univer

https://youtu.be/jrXGfK5I_rU Scientists at CERN discovered exactly as much anti-matter exists as matter, which means we shouldn’t exist and they don’t know why we do if so. If you figure out why/how we exist in a world half full of anti matter, you deserve a Nobel Prize!

Brit isn’t a pejorative epithet. Jap is. Pejorative: A pejorative or slur is a word expressing a negative connotation, a low opinion, or a lack of respect toward someone or something. It is also used to express criticism, hostility, or disregard. Often in war we come up with pejorative slurs to dehumanize our enemies in order to justify killing them or imprisoning them in concentration c

Exactly. Good point. Anything the abusive CULT does or says about racism is just lip service until they edit out the white supremacy and dehumanization of black and dark skinned people that litters both the BoM and BoA, two of the most racist narratives ever to be considered ‘revelation from God’. Obviously that will never happen because admitting Joseph’s Myth is just a lame 19th C excu

Bullshit. Like I said in my OP, “It reminds me of the abusive MORmON CULT I was born into, that I witnessed in numerous cases, where victims were blamed, shamed and silenced, while child rapist were protected, in the interest of ‘Protecting the good name of the church’. I’ve seen MORmON parents disown their own kids to protect the abusive CULT they were born into, and protect the rapis

Wow, 89% of LGBTQ MORmONs met the criteria for suffering PTSD related to their religious experience? That’s just the most damning evidence of how wicked the abusive CULT really is. It causes suffering, mental problems and fuels a suicide epidemic and still doubles down on their hate for gays. It should not only lose its tax exempt status, it needs to come with a Surgeon Generals warning labe

Latter Day Danites are alive and well all over the internet and this being the most popular ExMo website, it wouldn't surprise me if the Strengthening the Members Committee monitored this site and dug up information on people to use against them and manipulate them if they are still members. It happened to me, not on this website, but another ExMormon forum, before I resigned and took away thei
