I moved to the Houston area 1 1/2 years ago from Utah. I hated the area south of The Woodlands that we rented in. Burglaries like crazy, drive by shootings etc. We built a home in Cypress and for the most part I like it. Pros -People don't seem to care about your religion/lack of religion -Awesome neighbors who offer you a beer or wine if they see you(at least in my neighborhood)! -No snow!

My family is doing great! My hubby is great too! I think he's doing better than me. He can walk away from the church and not look back. Me on the other hand....there's still a lot of emotion/anger there.

We were in Alpine F I R S T ward. Went to the church right by the camels. We only knew 1 other couple in Alpine that were exmos. We've moved out of state now. Alpine is a tough place to live as an exmo. Good luck!

My parents went to this the other night and my mom was talking about how great it was on fb. My parents claim that the church is growing in London. There have been no resignations in their ward and 100 baptisms since December. Wondering if my parents are just saying stuff to make me think its not declining because everyone on here paints such a different picture of London.

I lived in Utah 30 years and just moved to Texas. I love it! I too miss some of what Utah has to offer, but I don't think I'll ever move back. Oh and Mormons here in Texas are very pushy.
