My father in law said my wife and I should do prayerful study in regards to our doubts about the church. I said, well what about scholarly study. Actual archaeological, scientific and DNA research (or lack thereof when it comes to the MORGS claims). He had nothing to say about that. LOL.

Listen. It's not easy, especially with your believing wife and family. I went through 15 yrs of Mormon garbage until my wife saw the light about 4 months ago. Most important, do you and your wife have a good relationship? I guess what I'm trying to say is really, who cares what others think, if you and your wife are happy that's all that matters. Bottom line, live your life authentically and don'

Congrats, my wife and I and 3 children left about 5 months ago. Once you're out of the Mormon cloud, you begin to understand how truly absurd it all is. Be sure to post your story on the Biography Board.

This man has no power over you. So in other words, do what you want to do. Call him back or don't, it really doesn't matter. What matter's is your happieness and sanity, you create your own dream.

When we left, my former TBM wife felt like we were going to be cursed in all aspects of our life. But lo and behold, guess what, life couldn't be better. Me, my wife and 3 children feel free and happy and have actually recently started going to a non-denominational church. My kids love it and my oldest son said "Wow Dad, the kids are actually normal." Anyways, best of luck and just real

wife can work things out. My family and I had our names officially removed and it took me 17 years of struggle, anger and patients to get my wife to see the real truth. Best wishes for you and your family.

My wife and I and 3 children had our names removed from the church pretty recently. Glad to hear that you and your wife saw eye to eye.

Like I have said many of times. He has absolutely no power over you. When we left, we didn't have a Bishop's meeting because I absolutely refused and we took our own path out. Again, this so called authority is all man made. You don't have to answer to anyone, bottom line.

He has no power over you. Why have the meeting? You can put all the facts you want out there, but it will fall on deaf ears. Trust me. Cancel the meeting, call him and tell him your resigning and put in your papers.

Thank you for sharing. Me, my wife and 3 children recently resigned. Remember, and I know it's hard to wrap your arms around it while you're in, these people (Bishops, Stake Presidents) have absolutely no power over you. Here is a wonderful website for you among many others: http://whytheyleave.blogspot.com/ Think critically. Like I tell my children. Discovery. Truth. Freedom. Happiness.

Have her read D&C 132. That is what shocked my wife into reality. The blatant lies all in the name of sex.

Hi, sounds just like my families story. We just resigned ourselves and it feels great. Ok, here is what I did. 1. Emailed the HQ using the template found at: http://www.exmormon.org/remove.htm 2. That got the ball rolling but not good enough. I used the letter template at http://www.exmormon.org/remove.htm and had my wife and all my kids sign it. I scanned it and sent it as PDF to the Bis

My family and I fully resigned. Really it was more psychological knowing that we are no longer officially Mormon. Plus, it just feels like the "dark cloud" is no longer hovering over us.

Congrats to you and wonderful you found the truth and did not succumb to the lies the church tries to betray as facts. Once you're out of the Mormon bubble, it really is amazing how absurd the whole JS story is. How can anybody in their right mind believe this? Unfortunately, many of us did, but came to our senses via honest research.

I found in my experience that I lived by example and didn't try to force anything. If she has questions, tell her to research it on her own (mormonthink.com, this site, etc.) and that you will be there for her no matter what and to come to you for any questions or concerns. Bottom line, if you love your wife, don't let religion come between you and her. I endured 17 yrs of being married to a TBM,

I emailed and faxed my letter in. Also, I just sent the letter to the bishop of the ward who is actually a very cool guy. I was told my SLC church records office to send it to the bishop too so he can send in the administrative action form.

Why can't Mormons drink coffee? It is the word of wisdom by God according to Mormons. However, Joseph Smith wrote for his day and age. There was a huge temperance movement going on at the time. What happens to me and my family after we die since we aren't 'sealed'? According to Mormons, you won't be in the Celestial Kingdom together. Many think Smith derived these ideas from Heaven and Hell

How does your wife feel about the Church? My wife and I and 3 kids recently left the church and life is truly wonderful. Has she done any research on the true history of Mormonism? Have your wife read D&C 132. The destruction of Emma if she did not accept plural marriage. That was a game changer for my wife.

recently and we couldn't be happier to say the least. I to have/had much anger toward the LDS church for the blatant lies and brainwashing that they preach and encourage. Bottom line my friend, is look towards the future and not the past. Let me tell you, I am 42 now and 30 years old is NOT to late to start a new path, whether that be "spiritual" or "career." What are
