I am happy to let everyone know that Richard Packham is coming to the Conference, and has agreed to speak at an extra session we will schedule for the noon hour. For those who are very new to the exmormon world, Richard has been "a rock to lean on" from the very early days of an internet presence for the exmo community, and I'm sure most of you have been to his web site for a wealth of information about the church. I get asked every year by several if Richard is going to be there so they can meet him in person!
Richard's subject will be "FREEMASONRY AND THE ENDOWMENT: A DEMONSTRATION OF THE SIMILARITIES. This session will take place in the regular mtg. room, and those who would like to attend can pre-order a box lunch from the restaurant which you can pick up after the last morning session and take to the ballroom with you. I have had a recent experience with never-mo cousin who has been involved with her husband for many years in masonry and it's women's organizations. She was pretty stunned when I told her about the original source for the temple ceremony. She was baptized at 8, at my father's prodding as her mother was totally inactive. So she's always had a curiosity about some of this stuff. It IS pretty fascinating!
