Apparently, the American military uses them.

Has any soldier with PTSD tried Alpha Stim? If so, what was the result?

This could be very significant because it doesn't involve drugs and their side-effects.

Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but:
You'll notice that the inventor states he created the device over 30 years ago, yet it never seems to have caught on as a standard treatment for any mental disorder. The research citations I've found date back to the 80s or 90s, with very little that's more recent. The device works by sending minute electrical pulses through the skin, there's no evidence it goes through the brain, per se. These types of devices have received renewed interest because they are confused with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), using a powerful electromagnetic pulse to disrupt focal brain activity. Despite an incredibly more powerful effect, TMS has a "barely significant" impact on depressive symptoms.
