The Believing Species and Its Struggle to Know."


Latter-day Saints claim to "Know" the Church is true. What is the difference between "knowing and "believing". Are we born with a predisposition to believe first? Might there be circumstances that arise where we evaluate a belief discarding it if it does not stand up to scrutiny or making it something we call knowledge.


Are there limitations in this evaluation process.

TRUTH per Mormonism...

Truth is absolute and eternal; it endureth forever. It never varies; what is true in one age is true in every age.

(D&C 1:39, Ps. 100:5, 117:2)



D&C 1:39 For behold, and lo, the Lord is God, and the Spirit beareth record, and the record is true, and the truth abideth forever and ever. Amen.

Ps 100:5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.


Ps 117:2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.


Alma 41:8 Now, the decrees of God are unalterable; therefore, the way is prepared that whosoever will may walk therein and be saved.


Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I do not change..."

Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
