I saw this and it seemed like a good thing to post here, especially since it’s Halloween. Some of you may be familiar with the site feministmormonhousewives.org -- it’s, a lot, a bunch of liberal Mormons trying to cope with inconsistencies, etc. of their faith -- whereas this site it’s a lot more to do with recovery itself. Anyway, their associated podcast has done a series this month on the traditions of witches, magic, and Halloween in the TSCC.

The most interesting to me of the three was the middle episode about Magic in the early Mormon church, where they talk about Joseph Smith and his family’s involvement in folk magic practices.
