We meet upstairs at 10:00 am - we are almost always the only ones there at the time. Just watch for the dark cloud of apostasy hanging over us. Everyone is welcome - some of us get coffee and some of us don't. No RSVP needed. Sometimes it's a big group, sometimes it's small. Last week was about thirty, the week before was about twenty. Sometimes we have 25 or 30 people. So, come on out and join us--we'll steal a bagel, kick a few puppies, and join in loud laughter at the expense of the Lard's Anointed!!

If you're in Utah (depending on where) come on out on Sunday to our meetup. There's good food, coffee, and conversation.

We are testing a new location this week...

Harmons Bangerter Crossing store:

Sunday, January 12th, 10:00 am to Noon
we meet upstairs in the café seating area. You can't miss us.

Harmons Bangerter Crossing
125 East 13800 South (immediately east of I-15)
Draper, UT 84020

It's the best free 'therapy' you can get if seeing an actual therapist is maybe not an option right now.

Seriously, many of us that show up have bought the t-shirt and understand where you are coming from. Sometimes being able to meet with other ex-mos in person is a life-saver. Come on out and tell us your story.

I haven't been for awhile but am curious, Did you get kicked out of Cabela's?

Yes and no. They wanted $75/wk to continue meeting there.

Apparently, filling up part of their space during an otherwise dead time and buying some food/beverage wasn't enough. They want us to rent the conference room (that we weren't using) too.

Biter - the harmons location is great. Fireplace and easy chairs. We used to use itfor our south valley meetups before!

I'll be more likely to come with good food and coffee, plus shopping afterwards.

When I lived in Provo a very long time ago, Harmons was a "cut-rate" grocery store we poor BYU students used to go for weekly shopping. I seem to recall it was located in a warehouse of some time...very "rustic"...something like an old military airplane hanger with an unwashed concrete floor and non-perishables displayed in their packing boxes.

Reams or Food 4 Less.

This Harmons is pretty kick-ass. (seriously, this isn't your parent's grocery store... Hahaha!)

I would love to go to a meet-up, but they are still too early for me:(.

I live in Cinnamon tree apratments right across from that reams. Yikes!!! Remember they would add %10 percent onto the total???

There were always birds up in the top of the rafters in there.

Ah, memories!!

started doing the Cabellas thing I made sure we were on good terms with the manager of the cafeteria (Rick). I went over and talked with him every week. Really nice guy. I even sent an email to their corporate offices telling them what a great job Rick was doing.

But I remember going there when that TBM woman took over and I went over to say hello and let her know we were appreciative. She was distant and always acted like she was putting up with me. And now she's asking for $75 each time we go there??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? The place is DEAD when we show up! Holy shit! Hell, I hope we get 100 people to Harmons this morning. I'll write another email to Cabellas corporate and let them know what a dumb thing they did. Maybe get that woman knocked upside the head or something. Unbelievable!

Yes, she's the one who told me pay up or we were out. She was very clear about it and it was not negotiable.

Good group today! There were about twenty of us, with some new faces attending... glad you made it!

This a great location, in all aspects. After the main group left, I had a chance to speak with the head facilities maintenance guy and thanked him for the hospitality. He expressed that they like having us there as well and we were definitely welcome to continue.

Almost forgot... if you attended today and left your jacket there, they are holding it at the Business Services counter for you.

us be there. She seemed mildly antagonistic. Just giving you a head's up!

I appreciate the heads up. No worries, we have two inside connections, besides the ally that we made with the head facilities maintenance guy today, that should counter any resistance thrown our way.

That's ridiculous! It's a public place! Cabella's is out of line! Isn't the whole idea with a cafe' and seating to have people show up? And like someone else said, it was never busy at that time anyway! LAME!
