Governor Gary Herbert has made clear his opinion that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. His official actions have reflected that opinion in the weeks since a federal judge struck down Utah’s Amendment 3. Thursday the governor joins us to discuss the state’s stance on same-sex marriage. We’ll also talk with a panel of guests about the growing evidence that public opinion regarding same-sex marriage is changing, both nationally and here in Utah. We want to hear from you: Has your opinion of same-sex marriage changed in the last decade? And if so, why?

Funny. Utahns also didn't think that a white person should marry anything but another white person. Now Mia Love is the new darling of conservative Republican Utah. Life is sweet. So is change.

about a gay guy who got married during the time they could. When he went in for his state disability, he was denied because he is now "married" and his spouse earns too much money.

They can't have it both ways.

Wow, if they can't file state taxes as married filing jointly, then he should get his check.

Maybe he should file a lawsuit against the state... Be interesting to see where that goes.

NY Times Article- Utah, in Opposing Gay Marriage, Finds Three Arguments Are Better Than One

“A substantial body of social science research confirms,” the brief said, “that children generally fare best when reared by their two biological parents in a loving, low-conflict marriage.”
Utah responded that it would not be swayed by “politically correct trade associations,” referring to, among others, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association. “We are not ruled by experts,” the state’s brief said.

Sadly, we have learned over the past 100+ years that Utah would rather not even be swayed by the US Constitution.
