During like the 500 or so conversations I had with my brother over about 15 years, which almost always devolved into him lobbing these two whiny accusations at me:

Brother: You always have to attack the church! Why can't you just leave it alone!

Me: I never mentioned the church - YOU brought it up ...again ...why do you do that if you can't stand my criticism?

Brother: You quit just so you could go be LAZY and SIN all the time! Admit it!

Me: Oh that's right - because active sinning is so much less physical effort than active mormonizing, ROTFLMFAO! Listen, I approach my sinning with a lot more gusto, enthusiasm, and practitional rigor than you approach applying your belief system!

Right about then he would usually either bear his testiphony or hang up on me. LOL!

"One can be lazy and sin while still being a Mormon."

Number one I hear all the time...ugh. Even if I don't say anything about the church. The fact that I exist is what is so offensive....

"You always have to attack the church! Why can't you just leave it alone!"

Then why do the mishies always have to knock on the doors who need some peace and quiet? Why can't the mishies leave the whole world alone?

After hearing #2, it's time to promptly start singing "Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO. Wins the argument every time.

That only works if you simultaneously dance, especially the "wiggle" part.

Which just so happens to be my favorite part...

Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle

Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle

HOW could you think I'd leave that out? ;)

From what I've heard, xyz knows how to wiggle.

Now I'm going to have visions of the M&M stripping and doing the wiggle in my head all day...

That's funny, I just got done reading something that mentioned that Redfoo used to be a day trader. Talk about past occupations one never would have guessed.

Ugh - seriously, Mormons are lazy. Some of them work their butts off, granted, but it's just mindless busy work. It's not the sort of real work that accomplishes something and it's not the inner work that is the result of developing a character. Those are much, much more work than anything in Mormonism and I was much lazier when people were just telling me what to do all the time. As far as sinning, Mormons sin just as much as non-Mormons - just differently. And they sin worse, if you believe what that Jesus guy said was important. You know, that love thy neighbor crap he taught that Mormons tend to disregard in their rush to avoid people with coffee.

As a Mormon I sinned all the time.

Simple truth! LOL!

After I quit the cult the amount of "sins" I "committed" dropped off radically. I never really saw it that way until after the arguments with my brother dropped off, otherwise I would have tormented him with that concept. Heh!

Back when I was a recent ex-Mormon, I would have strained to think of a clever rejoinder. Now, I would say "Calm down. Nobody gives a shit about your ridiculous church. You sound like a cult member."

when your church's (albeit fabricated and fraudulent presented) manifesto calls all other churches "whores," you invite the criticism on yourself.

I keep pointing out the faults of their religious culture because they keep attacking me with it with their prejudice and narcissism. I'll leave it alone if you leave me alone. Deal? Otherwise I'm going to keep defending myself.

Mormons can't believe that their religion could be unbelievable, so they overcompensate this by discrediting the unbeliever with accusations of immorality.

I think to Mormons it is a SIN not to believe in Mormonism in the first place. If that's the case, then sinning never felt so good.

My brother subscribes to that notion. LOL!

"If that's the case, then sinning never felt so good."

I DEF subscribe to that notion. LOL!
