Did anyone else hear of a meeting that occurred Sunday night about the temple and only the endowed were to attend?

Wondering if it was local or a widespread thing and what was going on. Only time I've heard of a stake meeting of the such.

Focus group? Harassing the faithful to attend more faithfully?

Bet there were some burning words for those temple members as there usually is at a fireside.

Brothers and Sisters our temple attendance is down. We need, and the Lord needs, it to be up. You have made promises. You are the elect. What the hell are you doing instead of heading to the temple? (added the last sentence for a little spice. Plus it probably is what they would like to say.)

Oh, almost forgot. I'll bet they told them if they are talking to apostates this is the reason they are not attending to their duties. SO CUT IT OUT!!! The apostate are the lowest of low. They are the scourge of the earth. Now get busy not talking to them.

Not about this particular meeting, but it's funny......STORY!

Years ago, there was this lady in the ward who got up to bear her testimony of temple work.

She started by berating everybody present and told them that our ward had the worst temple attendance in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She duly informed us that in a meeting at the temple, she was told that the Seattle temple had the lowest attendance in all the temples of the church (at the time there were probably only 30 of the damn things), and that in the Seattle temple district, the Seattle Stake had the lowest attendance. And then, out of the Seattle stake, the 2nd ward had the lowest attendance out of all the wards.

So there you have it.

We were the dunces of the church.

What a bitch.
