I'll be circulating this one to some people I know, including that guy I was with when I buttonholed you at the Conference and put my plug in for him to be one of next year's participants.

And as you know, ex-Mormons are all about family as well, and I think his kid brother would make for a twin billing that would be hard to top...

As for my friend, Dr. Twede? Well, I was the cabdriver for a lot of this stuff, and always along for the ride when he was doing his own driving...

It's all gospel truth, honest.

You are all welcome! I love that we can get these to so many who aren't able to come for the weekend. Spread it around wherever you want to!

I'm a little confused, Cabbie.,,when "who" was driving? I'm not sure what you are referring to. :-)

Mormons speak in tongues, but I sometimes speak in metaphors...

Dave's and my friendship goes back around five years, after he e-mailed me saying he was going to be in Salt Lake, and we wound up meeting at a pizza place near where I live.

Both us were just happy to recognize kindred spirits, and he's kept me abreast of most of the stuff involving the crap FAIR et al tossed at him and the other MormonThink contributors.

I was happy to introduce him to Will a few years ago, and I think he got Steve Benson's e-mail from me... Steve provided him with more media contacts... Internet cabdriving, no?

At lunch, BTW, Will shared an essay where he referred to Dave as "Mormonism's once-brightest physicist," and Will is not one to resort to hyperbole.

And if you've read Dave's second novel, he gave both of us "cameo roles." Of course he asked our permission first...

I was remiss in not thanking Will Johnson for all the work he does on these. There is a lot of time spent editing and reworking the audio so they are as good as we can get them! Thank you Will!!

Funny. Yes, I'm sure it's superior to the live stream. I think one has to be REALLY dedicated to watch the whole Conference on live stream.

David Twede is doing a good job. He's like a white hot spotlight on a nest of cockroaches. Keep up the good work.

Would be great for an audio of the open mic session.

Naturally it's not suitable for you tube, but a link to the audio hosted somewhere would be great if possible.

I always enjoy the open mic sessions, the humour as well as the pain.

Grateful irrespective. Thanks

I didn't get to hear this on the live streaming during the Exmo Conference because I had to leave to do my chauffeuring thing...so I am very glad I got this opportunity to not only hear this presentation now, but as (an unexpected, and MUCH appreciated!!) bonus, I could actually SEE the graphics!

This is one of the top few most interesting---and information rich---Exmo Conference presentations I have ever seen.

Thank you...everyone who made this possible.

Truly wonderful...and I am very, very grateful.

Thank you for posting this. I found it interesting that less than 2 weeks following the Ex-Mormon Conference, TSCC issues the "Plural Marriage in Kirtland and Nauvoo" and the "Manifesto" essays. In David's presentation, when he discusses the essays and what was missing, the first topic addressed was the polygamy in Utah essay and it not addressing JS and his practice of polygamy and polyandry.
