I'm sure the younger ones still use the internet in their downtime.

I don't think any of the so-called special witnesses of the NAME of Jesus Christ and who have never had a personal witness of Christ, have visited RfM.

If so, hey, we are on to you fellas.

I think all the Apostles use the Internet. They get their own smartphones and e-mail addresses.

The honest answer is that we don't know how many apostles have visited FrM. Could be none of them, could be all of them.

I suspect most probably haven't but maybe 1 or 2 have. This is pretty much one of the biggest "anti-mormon" forums on the Internet, so if any of the Apostles got curious about what they were like, chances are they'd end up here. I can think of a few others, but I think they're smaller, newer and/or less high-profile than this one.

I imagine that there is a Mormon version of the NSA that monitors all the exmo sites and give intelligence summaries to the GAs so they can keep up with the online chatter. This maybe how they find their future excommunication candidates. Oh, wait, that doesn't come from on high does it?

It's the Strengthening Church Members Committee -- the SCMC.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strengthening_Church_Members_Committee

Several posters on RfM (including Steve Benson) have been under SCMC surveillance.

. . . at that point, given that I was so outspoken, public and a member of the press (three things the LDS hierarchy doesn't much like). Besides, by then my then-spouse was an ex-Mo by then, too, and therefore wore no sur-VEIL-lance.

Neither one of use got lanced by the archers in God's army, either.

"Courts of Love" church excommunication councils
"Strengthening the Members" Mormon Stasi

These are terms George Orwell would have loved.

The Q12 spend all their online time over at Pornhub.

They would call it preparation for GC talking points.

I assume fisting and felching will be brought up in October.

I'm sure they receive regular debriefs from the SCMC and other secret spies. But I doubt they'd come here directly-- they're too busy running an empire into the ground.

The Strengthening Church Members Committee itself is made of Apostles and GAs.

They have lots of other committees too.

Hangar18 - I am puzzled by your statement:

"I'm sure they receive regular debriefs from the SCMC and other secret spies."

I was under the impression that they use "Depends" garments - not debriefs.

Shame on me for being so disrespectful of such aged men!

They probably come here when they're out of ideas to give talks on. There's nothing like the exmo's when you need an idea to talk about pertaining to mormonism.

Six of the 12 have visited RfM, although they don't do so regularly:

Oaks
Holland
Bednar
Cook
Christoff
Andersen

At least one of the six has a secret Internet addiction that includes occasional visits to RfM. My best guess would be that it's Cook.

how do you know this?

It's basic sociology that some of them visit the Internet. And they'd be negligent if they didn't assign at least a couple of guys to be familiar with ex-Mormon sites. I picked the guys whose attitudes, actions, ages, and professions suggest familiarity with the Internet. And I did so with mock certainty. Thanks for asking.

And the remark about Internet addiction is basic statistical inference. I could use the same technique to predict a pornography addiction among the twelve as well, although I'd be less certain about that. The twelve are an artificially selected group whose sexual behavior, at least, is likely to vary quite a bit from statistical norms. But opposed to that process is the equally artificial element of the garments, which forces many Mormon men to express their sexual instincts with borrowed images rather than physical contact.

I've said before that if I were ever tried in a "court of love," I could be reasonably certain (but not absolutely certain) that among the 15 high priests present, we would find at least three masturbation habits, two pornography addictions, and one case of unconfessed fornication before a temple marriage. Among the bumbling amateurs at the local stake level, statistics would almost guarantee results like that, since the selection process isn't nearly as thorough.

If they came here with any regularity, then the Mormon church would be a better experience for many of its members, because goodness knows we've advised them how to do that any number of times.

They have "people" who do the dirty work for them. Plausible deniability.

Holland has been here. You can see it in his eyes. He has been trying to put the genie back in the bottle ever since Toms letter. I still believe he will be the first apostle to go public with his disbelief. He has integrity and figuring out the truth is killing him inside.

If he did do you think the others would let him stay? Or would he be forced to stay quiet? I think it would be cool to have a rogue apostle join us. That would drop the cult to it's knees.

It would not, actually. TSCC has survived worse. But I think Holland is in a hell that few experience. The knowledge that he has fucked with thousands of peoples minds and lives, and the moral character to know how wrong it is he did it.

He is so angry now at himself. The minute he stops being mad, he realizes the damage he has done in his life and he won't be able to live with it.

Sorry Tom, just my assessment, could be wrong.

That's very interesting. I've often tried to explain and interpret Holland's public expressions of anger.

Thanks for your honest assessment.

Yes, Holland does have some integrity, but it's negotiable integrity. He'll only go public when his incentives change from what they are now. I'd guess that when his nostalgia wears thin, and he gets blamed unfairly a few more times for failing impossible assignments, he'll be ready to go public.

Any efforts to delve into the so called anti-Mormon Internet web sites is probably delegated to the lower minions that are young enough to know how to manage the newer technology.
I doubt the upper echelon (the geriatric grey suits) would have a clue how to use the Internet to get that involved. Nor do they care.

How much technological sophistication does it take to check out a website? I'm not claiming that Oaks hacked my computer and found our my name, address, and bank account number.
