I'm not an expert here, but the idea of free agency and "obedience is the first law of heaven" seem pretty contradictory.

Which is why they changed it to the doctrine of "moral agency." Except that I can't find anybody who can interpret that phrase for me.

The opposing doctrine between catholic and Mormons:

The Catholics teach that the Pope is infallible,
There isn't a catholic anywhere that believes that

The Mormons teach that the profit is fallible,
There isn't a Mormon anywhere that believes that.

We do not teach that the Pope is infallible.

Joseph Smith was a simple, uneducated farm boy who could barely string together a sentence (i.e. dumb rube).

Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God, who organized God's True Restored Church and led his people through building cities, persecutions, etc. (i.e. a genius who loved children and puppy dogs, and is probably second only to Jesus Christ as the Most Important Human Who Ever Lived)

The BOM says that God only allows polygamy to be practiced when he wants to raise up a righteous seed unto Him. But TBMs routinely assert that Joseph Smith didn't have sex with his plural wives. Duhhhhh.....

BTW: It used to be called "The Plan of Salvation" in my 1970s missionary discussions. However, it was hard to $ELL something to the living that you received when you're dead. So, TSCC decided to $ELL happiness instead. Why? ...doesn't everyone want to be happy? I'm sure the Q15 discussed the change at length due to sagging convert numbers and decided their scam would $ELL better if they changed the name. After all, who wants salvation over happiness?
