I do not think they will ever discuss their policies in any church handbook in a Sacrament meeting. That is supposed to be confidential, and only for the bishops and stake presidents, etc. (But I could be wrong!)
That's right. This was never supposed to be a general announcement to the membership at large. It was only instructions found in the handbook manual for bishops and stake presidents.
There never was any intended announcement of anything
Went to 2 Sac. meetings as it was 'primary programs' with some of my grandkids.
No announcements and I never overheard any discussions.
Therefore, I just tried to disrupt the programs by waving and making funny faces at the grandkids that really worked well for one and she almost broke out laughing 2-3 times when singing in a group.
So since I couldn't cause any havoc ----- I went home having fulfilled my church commitment for the year.
Yep. In Gospel Doctrine class, the teacher and other people spent like ten minutes bashing everyone who opposed the new policy. Today's lesson was on the "deceiving things in the world" so these people had a party with it. I wanted to stand up and start yelling at them, it was so ridiculous and judge mental. Someone even said "one of my family members is gay, but that doesn't make a difference." And then there was the obligatory "if they don't like it, they should leave" idiots.
