I had this thought: what if there are reasons to feel safe and/or no real or good reason to indulge in specious worrying? Worry anyway, I guess? Constantly be on the look out for a new angle that the "enemy" will try next.
The church literally encourages paranoia.
Not every sense of security is a false one. Sometimes the realistic factors can all be known and you can enjoy your evening knowing there is no significant danger or imporant thing being left undone.
