If the church really believed this, they would give it more than lip service in general conference.

It's amazing to me to read this pamphlet, and think, "Why isn't all this shit the focus of the church in its sermons or in its actions?"

Oh, that's right, because they don't really care. Here's a hallmark card, but we'll miss your money and your time for free work than we'll actually miss YOU as an idividual.

...I truly should have used my pamphlet to wipe my arse with. That's a better use of paper products than producing this damn pamphlet. Yet I still have the thing in my dresser drawer. I'd better go fetch it and put it in the bath for next time.

But I think raptorjesus's analysis is right on target. They always assume someone has been offended. It never occurs to them that maybe, just maybe, we've figured out that the church is quite simply bogus and not worth our time, effort or money. Could it be that we wised up and woke up to reality - that the church is a fraud? I'm sure the senile old bastards running the church could never understand that explanation.
