There are days where having sex with your partner seems kinda like a natural thing to do. Does your partner think days like your birthday is a good reason for sexual relations or is sex never a part of special days for you?

Nevermind sex, I'd just like to spend one birthday with the people around me actually acknowledging that it's my birthday. Nobody cares but me.

Most of my friends seem to choose the week of my birthday to travel, so I suspect that this year will be just another Wednesday. Again.

I don't expect a party and a cake and all that crap, but geez, it would be nice to hear at least a happy birthday at some point during the day. I will place a bet with you all right now that when it rolls around this summer, not one person who supposedly cares about me will bother to so much as text me.

You are not alone. My 90 year old mother remembered but then she has a giant cesarean scar to remind her. She wished me a happy b=day and I got a lovely institutional meal at the home with her. Not a single other family member called to wish me a happy b-day or send a card. I send everyone in the family cards on their b-day and invite them out to lunch. When my mother dies I'd join the foreign legion if they took women my age. lol

I'd have to say this year was the first year I had it... in 32 years. Definitely started the day off with a bang! But was it important? No. Just icing on the cupcake. :)

Anything that becomes obligatory just because of the day/ date is unimportant to me.

Sex is important to me, but having it because its my birthday isn't.

My marriage is important to me, but finding the perfect gift for my wife on our anniversary isn't.
