"married to the man/woman of my dreams."

It's laughable.

I mean, seriously-why would you do that? I see this sort of behaviour over and over. TBM talks a whole load of smack about their (fill in the blank-SIL, MIL, DIL, etc) and the next thing you know they are praising them on FB. Why do they do that?

Why not just leave it alone?

not

I didn't marry the woman of my dreams.
Because that woman was a fantasy. She doesn't exist. Never did, never will.
I did marry a woman who is smart, funny, patient, and full of love. 25 years later, I can't imagine life without her. We have a "love" that comes from 25 years of fulfilled promises, mutual trust and respect, and no attempts to force each other into being the person of our dreams.

I'll take that any day :)

I think in Texas that sort of bragging would be called, "All hat and no horse."

I see these people who post that they are married to the person of their dreams and then look at that person. All I can think is that sure have lackluster dreams.
