It's last season was 2011. That's been six years ago already.

I didn't watch it when it aired before. Prob'ly not going to now.

He was a consummate actor.

May he RIP.

Oh, that's so sad...will always remember him as the punk teen in "Terminator," a space Marine in "Aliens," Fred Haise in "Apollo XIII" and of course as the polygamist patriarch in "Big Love."

He always seemed to die in most of his roles. He's the backwoods hick, Zack, in my fave movie, Last Supper:

IMDB lists 93 acting credits, starting with 1975's "Crazy Mama" with Cloris Leachman, Stuart Whitman, Ann Sothern, Jim Backus, Don Most (of "Happy Days"), and Will Samson ("Cuckoo's Nest," "Vega$").

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000200/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

Like many others, he started out with Roger Corman's New World Pictures and worked up through the ranks. He was a set dresser on "Galaxy of Terror" (1981), the same one where "Terminator"/"Titanic" director James Cameron got his big break.

Somehow I never saw any episodes of "Big Love," but it's definitely on my to-do list.

A solid, professional acting talent.

RIP.

Sorry to hear. That is too young to go. He was a solid actor, and I enjoyed his work.

He had a stroke while undergoing heart surgery.

I remember him in "Twister" and confess I had to look up what role he had in "Titanic".

He had completed all 13 episodes of his new CBS show "Training Day" so it will be interesting to see how they handle that.

I read that he was having heart surgery.

Twister was my first date with hubby, so I always remember that movie fondly.

We still quote it whenever we see a cow whilst driving.
One of us will yell out "cow!"

"Nother cow"

"Actually I think that's the same cow"

He was our neighbor, and just a nice guy to blab with at the local hardware store.

The tornadoes didn't get him after all. He played a great regular guy with a heart.

Saw this posted by a high school friend of mine: "I recall a pleasant conversation with him and 2 Mormon missionaries in front of the post office. He warmly praised them for their good work and asked if they had seen Big Love. Needless to say, they had not. He was so friendly and charming."

He never had a chance to say:

"You know how they say when you're dying you see a light? That ain't true. I can't see a damn thing."

Died because of surgery complications holy crap. Surgery can be more dangerous than I thought depending on what it is.

I saw online about Bill Paxton dying and hadn't heard of him (don't watch much TV or other visual media).

A link to his bio in Wikipedia said that he was one of the people in the crowd waiting to see President John F. Kennedy emerge from the hotel he was staying at and there's a photo of him as a boy boosted up above the crowd to watch for him. You can't miss him!

I saw part of Training Day last night and it was a little bit surreal to watch.
