I like stouts and non-hoppy ambers. IPAs don't appeal to me, but a lot of my friends love them. Beer also is good for digestion.

BONER!! My man!! I like the IPAs! That hoppiness is so awesome to my tongue.

The Beer Prayer (use the same meter as The Lord's Prayer)

Our Lager,
Which art in barrels.
Hallowed be thy drink.
Thy will be drunk, (I will be drunk),
at home as it is in the tavern.

Give us this day our foamy head,
and forgive us our spillage
as we forgive those who
spilt against us.

But deliver us from hangovers,
and lead us not into incarceration,

For thine is the beer, the bitter and the lager.

Barmen.

Cheers!

Hey, ziller, you know how Pabst Blue Ribbon won the blue ribbon? Because the other two participants in the contest were gasoline and ketchup. LOL!!!!!

Beer is made from hops and grains = healthy plants = salad.
Beer = salad.
You're welcome.

PS...Any Morgbot lurkers out there may feel free to use this line of infallible logic on their bishop next time they have a TR interview!

For the record, I just had my own beer recipe brewed and served by a local brewing company here in the Greensboro, NC, area. It was a Hawaiian-themed IPA featuring essences of ripe mango and pineapple. Not overpowering fruity...very gentle and subtle...in fact, it was the gentle sweetness of the fruit that helped tame the hoppy bitterness of the IPA. Quite an excellent batch! We sold out the keg, and it was genuinely a big hit all evening!! I have pictures, if anybody is interested! -edz

I don't drink, but if I did, I'd drink only American owned and brewed. All the big ones (Coors, Bud,etc.) are owned by multinationals.

Sam Adams is the largest American-owned and brewed line of beers. If you're in Boston, they have a free tour and sampling room in their original brewery. Anybody passing through, I'll be happy to take you--and you can even drink my samples!

A beer lowbrow like myself settles for wife beater beer (PBR).

I just did some checking, and found that an article that posts high on Google is not accurate: Russian-based Oasis Beverages never did buy Pabst Holdings, which brews Ballantine and numerous other "legacy brands." So drink away, Dave. You'll be welcome with the grunge crowd.

I get paid to write reviews on line.

My faves are Strong Dark Belgians, Sours, and Scottish Wee Heavies. Due to my trade, however, I have to know what makes for a good beer in any style, so my beer drinking habits are wildly promiscuous.

I actually get paid to write beer reviews. probably because I have tasted almost 4,000 different and distinct beers in the past 11 years. But please, continue to make a fool of yourself.

I'm up to 869 distinct beers tasted according to the "Untappd" beer app.

...and didn't mean to slight or question your professional credentials. If I offended, I apologize. Your work is probably a too-good-to-be-true situation for beer lovers.

In my drinking days, I drank "for effect," not for taste.

And truthfully, I was a little too quick on the gun, being offended.

But yeah, it's a gig from my dreams. I even get press credentials for the beer festivals I attend. It all started with me answering a web ad looking for beer writers.

A fresh microbrew Love IPA! My new summer favorite is to have 1 Corona then 1 Linenkugals Summer Shandy. Repeat as many times as needed.I just love beer but my drinking days are less as I age.I enjoy most of our local microbrews here in Salt Lake Citt Tay.

I make my own.

It's amazing how the stuff from stores seems so much less appealing.

The group of guys, mostly guys, who form a loose brew community where I live all get much higher alcohol content, and stronger flavor than any I've bought in stores.

As an extra benefit, I drink a lot more!

Backwoods Bastard. Also an oak aged scotch ale, but up in wee heavy territory with the ABV. Like 11%

I am not a beer nut, not even close, but I really like the taste of Elephino beer from Red Rock. It has a citrus taste and I really like citrus.
