I looked back to see when the last time I posted and it has been almost 7 years.

In fact, it was shortly after the board went down to change software and ISP Sept 16, 2010.

I had several health issues after the board came back up and although I continued to follow from time to time, I backed off posting.

The several weeks break while the board was down was my "Recovery from Recovery From Mormonism".

I started another thread with an essay about Sept 11. I had thought about writing this for a while in light of the upcoming anniversary. It wound up longer than I had envisioned as I tried to get everything in.

However, I hope to get it out to a wider audience of family, Facebook, etc. But first would appreciate input, thoughts, and suggestions from people here.

Edits, corrections, additions, deletion, etc. are all welcome.

Would be happy to make any new connections by way of Facebook and or email.

Also outing myself for the first time.

Rus, 'Also outing myself for the first time.'

P: Good grief, Rus, you start out sounding so calm and cool--then you suddenly pull your 'Cognitive Dissident" remark out of the bag, and reveal the real biggie ("outing yourself for the first time").

How in the world did you get along before you decided to 'out' yourself?

To me, that is about the most difficult life change one can have. All marriage problems, etc., seem minor compared to having such a big deal in one's life to discover and adjust too.

Best Wishes,

P

Myself and my six kids (all adults) and a number of nieces and nephews have figured it out. Wife and one son still attend. But we have come to terms with it. Life has never been better.

Haven't attended for 12 years now. No one has bothered officially resigning.
