And then there's Oaks giving away the "scripted" nature of the answers...

Sorry, when I watched the gif of Nelson doing the "weighing the scale" motion with his hands, all I could think of was him saying: "I like big natural boobs."

:-)

I don't think he cares if they're "natural" or not...:)

I think he prefers "restored" :)

From the tragedy of MacDallin Act I:

All hail MacDallin, President of BYU!
All hail MacDallin, Quorum of the Twelve!
All hail MacDallin, who shalt be prophet hereafter!

MacDallin:
If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well
It were done quickly: if the assassination
Could trammel up the consequence, and catch
With his surcease success; that but this blow
Might be the be-all and the end-all here,
But here, upon this bank and shoal of time,
We'ld jump the life to come. But in these cases
We still have judgment here; that we but teach
Bloody instructions, which, being taught, return
To plague the inventor: this even-handed justice
Commends the ingredients of our poison'd chalice
To our own lips. He's here in double trust;
First, as I am his kinsman and his subject,
Strong both against the deed; then, as his host,
Who should against his murderer shut the door,
Not bear the knife myself. Besides, this Nelson
Hath borne his faculties so meek, hath been
So clear in his great office, that his virtues
Will plead like angels, trumpet-tongued, against
The deep damnation of his taking-off;
And pity, like a naked new-born babe,
Striding the blast, or heaven's cherubim, horsed
Upon the sightless couriers of the air,
Shall blow the horrid deed in every eye,
That tears shall drown the wind. I have no spur
To prick the sides of my intent, but only
Vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself
And falls on the other.

So, all hail MacDallin, President of BYU!
All hail MacDallin, Quorum of the Twelve!
All hail MacDallin, who shalt be prophet hereafter!
And damned be he who cries, “Hold enough!”

Very good from Shakespeare's boner.

This thread highlights the legalistic & eager to take church demeanor of D. Hoax, even a blind / deaf person could sense it.

"Funny" that LDS members don't recognize or tolerate this Complete Absence of Kindness, Empathy-Consideration, both local & church-wide.

What a thoroughly creepy trio of men. I could barely watch the gifs for my skin crawling.

What I also find creepy is hearing young TBM's talk about how they "loved" this-or-that "prophet" or GA when they were younger as if they were a favorite uncle or grandpa that brought goodies and told funny stories at Christmastime.

It's all cult programming.

Of course, it's the same with whatever Pope or Kim Jung-Il, but I never hear Episcopalians go on and on about the Archbishop of Canterbury, or Methodists who even know who might be the big cheese in their church...

As a TBM I was guilty of that growing up. I thought SWK was AWESOME. So much so that when he died I went up with a roommate to his viewing at the old church office building.

Unfortunately for me, the whole experience was a huge creep out. I felt a really weird vibe in the place, church security was creepy and seeing poor SWK in his coffin just made the whole experience even worst.

Truth be told, I often got a weird whenever I went to Temple Square. Not so much the visitor centers or the tabernacle, but whenever I was in the COB or the old COB something just didn't feel right. I felt that again a few years back while visiting SLC and took a tour of the Great and Spacious Conference Center.

Nelson looked evil when he was responding to Peggy's question during the press conference. The way he says how he knows her parents and grandparents. Creeper!
