The "restoration" or in her case, "rediscovery" of "original, but lost Christianity and the 'real' Jesus shows up among various pseudo-Christian cults. There's no determining what part was conscious appropriating from LDS, or just coincidental bad religious thinking.
Imitation or overlap? Eddy also stole (or "appropriated") things from other religious systems, such as Transcendentalism (which borrowed from Hinduism) and the Shakers. The Shakers' founder was called "Mother Lee," and Eddy was called "Mother Eddy" for a long while. And Mother Anna Lee came up with the term "Father-Mother God," which Eddy also used.
