Investing your whole life in a pet rock. Maybe pet rocks may have some benefits, but they’re not worth 10% of your income or your slavish devotion.

And when you decide to move on from the pet rock, it will leave you alone.

So it would be a pet rock with a speaker in it that kept trying to get you Pray, Pay & Obey, relentlessly. You'd try to get rid of it, but eventually, it would show up on your doorstep again, with a plate of cookies.

I get more back from my dog though in terms of affection and loyalty.

TSCC not so much.

It got to the point where I felt empty at my core. That was the strangest feeling of all when I belonged to the cult. The outward facade of being happy and sunshiney all the time was nothing in comparison to the emptiness inside where we were supposed to be spiritually fed, but was lacking instead.

That void led me to start questioning what was wrong with my beliefs to make me feel that way? Since leaving TSCC I haven't felt that way since, despite having been to quite a few differing religions up to the one I attend now. I feel more whole as a person. And that means the WORLD to me.

For those of us who left we were meant to break free from the bonds of what basically amounted to slavery to a cult.

A 10 percent hole in your in budget.

Ritual abuse by coercing promises from you.

And other assorted nastiness.

I prefer chocolate truffles.

Lindt is my favorite.
