I use Instagram and spend too much time following some family members and some car guys and other “celebrities”. At least a year ago I saw a new account called “The AIDS Memorial” and have been reading it usually daily. It’s an account where people post stories of their loved ones, either relatives or friends or partners who were lost to AIDS. Sometimes it’s the 25th anniversary of their death or similar and sometimes they have just died recently. Sometimes their story is so moving and tragic, and there has been times when I have to go a few days without reading them.
Yesterday, there was a post from a man who talks of the 23rd anniversary of his brothers death. And he mentions that his brother was taught to play the piano by his Mormon mother, and how the poster received news of his brother’s death while he was gone for two years in Germany.
There has been several different posts about Matthew Shepard this week on Instagram.
Here’s 2 links to this story, not sure you can read them if you don’t have an Instagram account.
