1. Waking up every morning knowing I can think for myself to interpret anything that happens during the day.

2. Knowing that, even though relationships are not always positive, all interactions with people are real.

3. Exercise and shooting a well made handgun.

My home comforts me. It is pleasant, comfortable, and cozy. I like coming home to my sweet cat. And I love having my brother and his wife nearby.

I'm also comforted by the fact that I will be able to retire in a few short years. I have had a rocky and often difficult career, and it's nice to be relatively close to the finish line.

I just saw a weighted blanket at Walmart. It looks like a normal blanket but it’s super heavy. Supposedly it makes you feel snug. That would beat a lightweight comforter.
