It looks like gay people can be openly gay and even share affection in public as straight people do at BYU now. Although I am straight, I see this as a major positive shift that affects everyone. The Mormon church that I knew before I resigned would never have made this change, no matter what. Apparently, anything is possible now.

BYU removed the section in its honor code that banned homosexual behavior, bringing cheers to the school's LGBTQ community, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued a letter to students, faculty, and staff this week.

Update: I just read the Questions and Answers. They said "any same sex romantic behavior is a violation of the honor code". To me that says 'we didn't really mean what we just said' (once again mormon church double speak).
