How many times has somebody on this Board wisecracked, "I consulted the great god Google," or something to that effect? In many ways,, the major tech deities serve as high priests--interlocutors between us peons and the truth that they want to dispense. Yes, they do filter it, going so far as to deplatform those who, even blocking major newsoutlets, candidates, parties, and recently, a US government agency!
Usually, its a vague "You have violated our terms of service..." With no contact information or avenue of redress. Then the account owner has to jump through hoops to get their account back up and running. People and parties with established clout make out better than others.
