TSCC closed the newzium in 2014 -2016 for OVER A YEAR - saying they wanted to make Jesus Christ as Center of there history/ museum/ story - maybe they traded him for Joseph and his mummies/ dumies.
One of my more un-spiritual moments. I was in High School. We toured the museum on a field trip. If I could have articulated my uncomfortable feelings at the time I would have said, "With all the reverence shown to our newly dead - funeral, flowers, expensive casket, prayers and talks and songs, headstones - why is it right to dig up someone else's reverently buried dead?"
Once the whole book of abraham fiasco was brought to light and the translation disproven it was no longer to the church's advantage to continue to display a "mummy". And anything disadvantagous must be disavowed, demeaned, and deleted
