Jimmy Osmond on Fame...

Recently, I've been watching episodes of the 80s series, Fame. It helps me forget about the traumas of today. Yesterday, I was traumatized anew when I caught one of Jimmy Osmond's two episodes in which he plays a young man who is educationally disabled, yet brilliantly talented in music.

Check out Larry B. Scott, the guy who played Lavar Latrell in Revenge of the Nerds. He's not officially credited, but I would know that face anywhere.

It occurs to me that this storyline might offend people today. I still kind of miss cheesy shows like Fame, even if the dance numbers make me cringe.

Jimmy was the smart Osmond. He bought Osmond studios back for a song and turned it into a sound and visual studio and made money off it. We used to use it to edit our ski movies.
