How well do the GAs relate to the everyday lives of the rank-and-file membership?

-Do they go to the grocery store to buy their food?

-Do they have to wait in line to get their driver's license / car tabs?

-Do they have 'unconventional sex' with their wives?

-Do they vacation with an RV and/or a boat?

-Do they help their wives with household chores such as cleaning, etc?

-Have they ever gone skinny-dipping or (GOSH) visited a nudist park?

from long past, I recall one of them railing about members who have an RV or a boat, even one (SWK?) railing about members have a 'picture window' (what an extravagance!).

Sheesh, I don't think these guys have a clue about real life today.

The last general authority I consider to have a solid connection to the people was J Golden Kimball.

I think that even the best-intentioned well-to-do or rich person forgets what it's like to have a modest or even average income. They forget that for most people, the best they can hope for is to pay their bills and put a small amount of money aside. The GAs and the Q15 live in an isolated bubble. They have no idea.

This is why I think the concept of tithing is immoral. For many families, the tithing obligation makes the difference in having a happy, full life, or just scraping by. The church doesn't need all of that money. Families do.

I've always assumed they are so inulated from regular life and so fanned over and coddled that it would have to change them.

Nudists camp? And you consider this a typical middle class pastime?

Nudist PARK, or Nudist RESORT, or Nudist BEACH, not Nudist colony or Nudist camp!

Roughly 1% of north americans are OK with skinny-dipping, nude hiking, etc.

the idea of my post was to cast a wide net of possibilities for non-approved choices & conduct as opposed to the standard stuff that Mormons expect of GAs & themselves.

Nudists can camp all they want as far as I am concerned. they should just be very careful frying bacon.

There's some mormon stories podcasts that go into this subject, some of the children and gchildren of the royalty, one of my cousins who's in with the boys got to tour Wendy and Russell condo down town, supposedly they ate into cowboy art, showing the rugged west, manly men and all that! The Corp. Did a major renovation when the new leadership took over, spent lots of cash. As for vacations, they have lots of them, in fact those working for the cob get lots of vacation time. My relatives are always on the move.

I thought Nelson still lived in his house in Eagle Heights in North Salt Lake, so his wife could be close to her girlfriend who lives on the same cul de sac. But I assume he has several residences. I have heard the GAs like to go spend time in Hawaii quite a bit, since the church owns lots of properties there and have condos just for the Lord's anointed.

I do know many years ago the first presidency did indeed live or at least have condos they used in one of the high rise condos close to Temple Square. I think they got new quarters when the Church built the new mall. My brother in law's uncle was in charge of running the building where one of the first presidency lived. One winter break from college my brother in law and I helped do some odd jobs in the building and we moved a new couch in for I believe Marion G. Romney. It wasn't clear to me if he lived in the Condo full time. The condo was furnished in rich old people's taste for the 80s, and Romney said hello to us, but we were ushered out quickly by guys in suits.

-Do they go to the grocery store to buy their food?

They have women to do that.

-Do they have to wait in line to get their driver's license / car tabs? They send an executive assistant with a a note "I'm an asspostle.

-Do they have 'unconventional sex' with their wives?

Probably the nanny from South America or China.

-Do they vacation with an RV and/or a boat?

They hire someone to host their vacations.

-Do they help their wives with household chores such as cleaning, etc?

Absolutely not.

-Have they ever gone skinny-dipping or (GOSH) visited a nudist park?

Only if their wife isn't around.

They probably have subscriptions to porno channels.

Can you provide an example of an illegitimate question? Just trying to get some perspective.

They DON'T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they are only interested in power!
But!! They only power that they have is that which the member surrenders to them
Thus one major reason for defection in the ranks

Yes, the question is legitimate. The subject line, however totally sucks. It gives us no information at all about the subject, so we have nothing to go on to decide whether or not to read the body of the post.

Further, when seeing the thread a week later (like now), I’ve forgotten what the thread was about, and have to click on it again just to find out.

Please attempt to describe the subject in the subject line.

Gracias.
