Mormonism is about the warm feeling.Any evidence can not take that warm feeling away. Once I figured out that the "warm feeling" does not only belong to Mormonism I could let the evidence that Mormonism is false change my opinion. Watching a good movie can give me a warm feeling. I do have a friend who once she read the CES letter was out. Her dad was a bishop and she went to BYU and was married in the temple but once she read the CES letter she resigned the next week. For me I wanted it to be true so badly that at first I could not accept that it is false.
anyway does not vindicate the whole story. It compels you to look back into it, sure. But if the majority of evidence that should be there still isn’t there, and especially if most of the evidence that is there says something else, then the new evidence must mean something else, because whatever it means it sure as hell don’t mean what you think it means.
