Olympia Beer closed about 20 years ago. The equipment sold off and the buildings are falling apart.

I think Pabst was making Olympia Beer at another location, but heard they stopped because of poor sales.

I think that's the story for many denominations -- their flocks are rapidly graying.

I looked on the website of our local UU church, and there was a rather nagging message that urged regular attendance (and I presume donations.) A number of younger people who are not particularly churchy, but who want their children raised in some sort of faith system, go to the UUs. So even congregations that attract younger people are struggling.

I think the evangelicals are doing somewhat better.

More and more unchurched people out there. Makes the feel for religious people that the world is more and more a scarier place then when there were all those wars to send young men away to knock the fear of God into them.

Yes, but not thinking can also be dangerous, as many of us find out one way or another, to our detriment.
