Especially in the wake of religious belief, which once fulfilled all of those needs.” Quote I heard today

I know I am.
Starving
For meaning
And community

I don’t really care much about my identity.
Other than my identity as a Father, Grandpa, Husband, Brother, Son, neighbor, co-worker, friend. Every other identity I have is meaningless compared to that.

I’m far more starving for wisdom. I want to learn as much as I can before I die, from the wise wo/men I admire the most and who form an ever growing torus.

Fortunately, we are in an age where we can get great works of literature at our fingertips, community (like RfM) and entertainment.

Of course, it's also a good idea to get outside and experience nature. I say this because in the summer heat I often stay inside all day and wonder why I feel like garbage.

T-Bone, get outside!

No. Religion just insists that it alone has all the answers. Non-religious people get along just fine on their own. Then along comes religion and spoils everything.

IMO.

This reminds me of the halcyon days of my red Members Only jacket!

Those people are there and ready as they always have been.

Most of the "hungry" want somebody else to feed them. So this sounds like whining to me.

People are magnets. Like attracts like. Turned the wrong way magnets shun rather than attract. Attraction means there is something about you that community wish to partake of. Be attractive. Problem solved.

So I suppose what is needed is more apps to supply identity and community to the phone people who don't even want to work. haha.

Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a berry. Wisdom is knowing not to put them in fruit salads. That sums up wisdom. It's that simple. There you go!

Or, is it important to be seen as wise?

You have to make friends. Nobody is going to come to you unless it’s a con artist or a church wanting your money.

One sure way to stay lonely is to be negative all the time. That will repel people like a big fart.

Yep.

Even more yep. That dynamic is definitely at work.

In a world full of information people are starving for it. Information used to be shared human to human. Now that is no longer needed. And information needs context, people, settings and cultures. Now is the time of AI power.
