Brother of Jerry, I think I heard that as well. Patriarchial.
When you cross Mormonism and Utah, you end with lots of funny expressions that don't really translate well into American English, which is goofy enough to start with. Just imagine growing up in Utah, then trying to have a conversation with someone from the UK or Australia.
My mother (born, raised rural Utah) also pronounced it that way. I assumed it was because they knew about the Articles of Faith, so they carried the pronunciation over into "patri-article."

Several years ago, I tried to get copies of PBs for a couple of older sisters who had lost theirs. We have never heard anything back.
I threw mine in the garbage, but then I decided I'd keep it and give it to my daughter to keep. She is the TBM and mine is much longer than hers and more "special" than hers. My hope is one of these days she'll get out. I lived by my PB. I about had it memorized.
If you live in Utah and others aren't from Utah, it is quite hilarious to hear them say Zion on the news, etc. I type medical records and I love it when the doctors say Tooele as "toolie." Mantua is another one.
