Why did God require a woman to create Jesus, when he didn’t require a woman to create Adam?

You're a genius, EOD. Your deep philosophical query reminded me of a song I used to like. I haven't heard it for a long time. It was the soundtrack for a TV show I used to watch: Joan of Arcadia. The name of the show's theme song is "What if God was one of us?" As you ask! Spooky eh?

I like the tune but also the words in the chorus:

Made me laugh: Could be God, could be an alien. Hahahahahaha. Would we know which is which I wonder.

For me the song is not so much a religious theme - it's that the chorus expresses the way I like to see people. As in, don't walk past that hungry person and scorn them - you never know the circumstances behind someone's challenges. It's quick and easy to blame people. Harder to remind ourselves often that much of our bounty is luck of the draw, such as where we were born and to whom and how the chips fall, and not purely an outcome of our own efforts or merit.

If memory serves he didn't need a woman to create Lilith either.

TRUTH

Lilith was a trial run, sort of like humanity before the Flood.

God had it right the first time with Lilith. The problem was rejection by the customer base (i.e. Adam). A simpler, more user friendly replacement was issued.

God built the woman HE wanted. Tells you something about God.

God needed a link between the fallen and the divine.

If he simply made a new creation from the dust, that creation would have no blood link to humanity.

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

"Born of water" has nothing to do with baptism. Gestation, baby.

Can god create a rock so big that he cannot lift it ?

Can god create a chili so hot that he cannot eat it?

Has no one heard of parthenogenesis? Without it God couldn't be omni-everything. Needing a woman for procreation would be a weakness. So if men can become like God, then the women won't be stuck having baby after baby for eternity. Phew!

But will those babies have belly buttons? Did Adam? Did Eve?

The Q15 can be replaced by any of the above to be more like Jesus. I vote for tardigrades even though they are closer to parasitic wasps.

When all he had to work with was Adam, he created a woman from his rib.

After he created women and needed a Jesus....well, I think you get the idea.

If Eve was made from Adam, wouldn't they have the same DNA and mean that Eve is actually trans?
