The World Economic Forum (the guys with all those private jets) is working on that.
My first experience with Earth Day was when I got into BYU after my mission ended in February 1971, I signed up for a few"block" classes. Like my usual dorky self, I had no idea what ecology was. Before my mission I don't remember the word "ecology", except in a Peanuts cartoon. I had to ask what it meant. A ward member came to my door gave me a pamphlet and invited me to join the ward on Earth Day -- we were going to re-whitewash the Y on the mountain! I gamely went, having no idea what painting the Y had anything to do with saving the planet. We all got issued a T-shirt with that ecology symbol in green on the front; I have no idea who paid for the shirts. Anyway, a good time was had by all.
