I have a hypothesis that there are more than judaic laws which total 613. So i'm only halfway done.

Yes, I am OCD, I probably should be on meds or in counseling.

I'm doing much better now imagine how miserable I was as an OCD TBM !!

You've probably missed plenty, but to be honest I don't think any of the rest of us have the time or inclination to finish it!

Still the 297 Commandments is challenging enough for all TBMs.

I love #'s 79 and 80, and then #289; what's a faithful polygamist to do?

Thank you, and congratulations for using your OCD tendencies for good, instead of evil!

I can think of a few more, for women:

Women can not give blessings for the sick.

Women must "honor the priesthood" (Every RS lesson is about that.)

Women can not be bare-legged. They must wear pantie hose or tights under their skirts.

No sleeveless tops or tank tops.

No cleavage.

Never be alone in your house with a man who is not your husband.

Garments are to be worn next to the skin, UNDER your bra.

Women and men must sit on opposite sides of the room during the temple ceremonies.

Did you include the no flip-flops rule?

No French kissing (Mormons call it soul-kissing)

No oral sex before or after marriage.

No homosexuality.

I think you should include ALL rules--even the updated or changed rules, such as:

Women can not pray in sacrament meeting.

Black-skinned races can not hold the priesthood.

Temple members must take blood oaths, not to reveal the secret handshakes, signs, and tokens.

There are some rules about The Mormon Prophet, I believe, such as that the words of The Prophet supersede the Bible and all the other scriptures and gospels.

I'll try to include these but I need references for each in order to add them to my list.

I like the idea of adding deprecated commandments too

It would have been easier to list the few things a TBM can do.

Guitars, Trombones, Tubas, greatly FROWNED upon and discouraged for musical numbers.

Actually we just had a musical number recently where the lady was using a guitar like instrument. It was fantastic, one of the best in a long time. Our Bishop is a former music teacher and went on about how great it is.

However, I was there on a wednesday doing some clerking and scouting for my boys, and a lady from another ward in the building was complaining to no end in the foyer how inappropriate it was for a GUITAR of all things to be being played in the holy of holies, the chapel, and why wasn't anyone stopping this lady from practicing in there with one. (umm, because the rest of us were enjoying it. It's not everyday you have star quality talent, so shut up you btch.)

When my dw was primary president, a directive came down from the stake not to use clip art and drawings from independent artists that were being sold through Deseret Book, but to make sure to use any art via the corporation. So if Benson went TBM again, LOL, and did some kids art to use in sharing time lessons, if it wasn't approved first through the Stake or higher ups, it was a no no.

"Guitars, Trombones, Tubas, greatly FROWNED upon and discouraged for musical numbers."

WTF??? Has anyone else heard about the "approved" list of instruments to use in church? What are the aprroved instruments for mormon church stuff?

that ranks right up there with no swimming (on Sundays only?) or is it missionaries should avoid water??

What about always putting your magic underwear on the right way? Right leg, left leg, right arm, left arm...

And don't forget to cut out and burn the masonic symbols!

That's where I got the idea from. I did copy a good number but many sections just don't apply such as Animal Husbandry, Legal systems, Dietary requirements, etc.

I can't find an official reference to burning the symbols on a garment or putting them on right leg, left leg.

I'm not even sure it's a real commandment. I've only ever been told / shown this once, by the temple worker who issued me with my first pair. It quickly became a habit, but I have no idea whether or not this is any kind of doctrine. It could have been the temple workers practical joke for all I know.

CHI v2 is available @ lds.org
But if you want to review CHI v1, it's not @ lds.org
You can make an appointment with your Bishop to look at it in his office or you can just search for a copy online bit-torrent.

BTW, I used the 2010 edition for the list

Are the following in there somewhere i kinda lost track going through before my eyes started to get buggy...

- only 1 earring
- no tatoos
- early on men were commanded to participate in polygamy
- don't correct your leaders in public even though they may be wrong
- fast offerings should be the amount of 2 skipped meals

Or so it seems to me...

12 Not to refrain from putting a false prophet to death nor to be in fear of him | Deut. 18:22

Is this why the profit goes around in an armoured car? Is he worried that some unstable tbm will feel the urge to follow that commandment?
