I'm no oldtimer by a long stretch!
I think I found this place in 2006, and read for maybe two weeks before diving in. I was scared, but also sooooo excited to see I wasn't the only one who didn't work out as a morgbot. They're really good at pretending no one ever leaves without falling into a life of sin.

Just curious about some names unfamiliar to me. How long have you been here?

Strange....

Seems longer than that.

It was a fast detox, but everything just finally made sense to me. I was waiting for the truth for a long time. And thanks to a courageous friend, I found it

:)

I have been here since 2007. When I first saw this site on google I thought it was frequented by a bunch of disgruntled mormons.

Since about May or June? It has been a big help to me.

I have a relative that is not too happy about my leaving. After talking to her i come here to reenforce my knowledge. You notice i didn't use the word "beliefs".

If i would have had this web site, i would have left 40 years ago and not looked back. I just didn't have access to the info that the internet brings. I love reading research that has been done. The tbms i know don't know how much verifiable evidence against the church is out there. I use it one bite at a time to deal with the people who are trying to pray me back in. How does that go?Line upon line, precept upon precept. Here a little there a little....

I've been lurking for awhile, probably since 2003 or 2004. I'm a nevermo, married to a non-practicing Mormon. I felt like I needed to start doing my homework on Mormons when my TBM FIL had a 3-hour conversation with me about how my husband and I really aren't married until we go through the temple. I think he might have given me more "meat" than the the whole "milk before the meat"or whatever kind of thing. He told me about Kolob and a bunch of other stuff that freaked me out. At the time I was horrified. Now I'm glad I heard that stuff so that I could study as much as I could about the religion. Especially considering that whenever the in-laws are in town they send the missionaries and hometeachers over as much as possible.

2002... right after I got a visit from mishies. My husband and I were engaged and he had always been positive about the church, so I let them in. When my husband found out, he got upset. That led me to look for reasons why.

Maybe nine months or so. And ditto, it seems much longer, but wish I'd found it much sooner.

Maybe 2-3 weeks for me. Have been having doubts much longer though - since about a year after my baptism in 2007.

In May 2004 I found the site, and thanks to it my eyes were opened and June 2006 I resigned.

Since 2006 when I saw people all backslapping and happy to meet each other at the Exmormon Conference. I learned they all met online here (there was no Post-Mormon then) so I decided to pop by.

Yep, it's addictive.

Lurking on and off for the past 4 or 5 years. Posting for just a few weeks. I come here when I get worked up about my TBM sister and her TBM family, which includes her sanctimonious husband and my 3 really sweet nieces/husbands + their young children. My cousins are also TBM. They all live in Utah, I don't. My terrific parents are inactive non-believers like me. I am happily married to a Catholic, and my kids are Catholic. Sometimes I just need to come here... like right after a sweet neice posts on facebook urging "everyone, not just my LDS friends and family" to click a link and watch the wonderful message delivered at General Conference. If I come here, it helps stop me from posting a comment in reply comparing Josesph Smith to Warren Jeffs. They all have no idea how silly and demented I think their religion is. I would never say anything to hurt them... so I come here.
And of course, I was a big-time visitor here when my parents and I were kept from watching all of my nieces get married. I could go on and on...
