Good godalmighty. I've lost a lot of family in the last 12 months.

Most of them, meh....but this one I would have liked to have known more about.

Very interesting read. He might have been a mormon, but he was an open minded one. He was a regular contributor to Dialog & Sunstone.

He was rabid TBM (the term "nazi" TBM isn't appropriate given what he went through in the POW prison camp).

I'm the black sheep, so nobody calls me when somebody dies. I have to google them. My dad died last Oct and nobody called me.

God, am I that horrid of a person? Must be.

I'm sorry about your dad and your uncles.

Also, sorry for the alienation of your family. Being an ex-Mormon can be difficult.

It's a tough deal when we get older. I seem to go to waaaay too many funerals in the last five years...and now were burying the ones that are my age.

Can't believe no one called you about your father. Ooh. Here's a question: Are Mormons Christian? One might well ask.

I got to know Paul during the September Six incident in 1993, and our paths have crossed from time to time since then, usually at events for writers. He will be sorely missed.

But to be honest, what I don't know about that side of the family could fill a warehouse.

Definitely a Sunstone Mormon.
