Enjoying the last day of my week-long vacation. Except that I do finally have to vacuum. I've been putting it off all week. I'm very protective of my "me" time and can be rather lazy with it.
I am going to a vintage/collector/classic/interesting car show. I love neat-o cars so I'll be in my version of heaven today... which beats an eternity in the mormon version.
Gonna chill with my kids! Going to make dutch over baby back ribs, potatoes, and peach cobbler! Celebrating on of my kids birthday and that's what they wanted for dinner! Should be a fun time!
Basketball with some friends in about an hour, and then I'm thinking of headed out to the sticks and warming up for the opening of Dove season in Texas!
I told my parents I wasn't going because we were gonna go to the Kansas City Ethnic Enrichment fest. We went Friday, which was awesome and were going to go Saturday and Sunday, but my roommates got sick, and one started her new job today suddenly. So, I convently didn't mention it, and am spending the day doing some laundry and cleaning, probably some homework, and playing around on my new laptop and PlayStation3! I started Assassin's Creed 2 last night and it looks to be quite promising!
I got up somehow at 5:30 am to go on a nature walk and marvel at how lovely it is in the morning... the birds all just waking up and lively. I did tons of lunges, arm rolls, other free style walking work-outs... felt amazing- helps clear energy blockages. Who cares who is watching, they can just stare away... People in AZ look at you weird sometimes if you are doing stuff out of the ordinary... ohh... what cause you are biking and I am doing ballet moves. who cares! I am just happy I didn't have to go to a three hour church meeting. It was fun to read what everyone was doing!
Confession: I did go to church just not THAT one. Still had plenty o'time for beach, beer and near-barenekkidness.
Surf was nearly flat, the sand bar recently extended to hundreds of feet wide, and the water colors were light turquoise and medium cornflower as well as being crystal clear. Joined many likeminded folks who brought their libations into the water to commune in sociable groups, had my dog paddling around us for a bit before seeing a sizeable manta ray not 40 yards off shore.
