for eternal marraiges, is it true that converts who go through with it do it just to please the lds then go right back to their normal life afterwards? A fried of mine just went through his temple marraige and the whole process from his baptism up till now he was always out partying with me. Totally lied about his worthiness or whatever they tell the guy in charge who lets them in the temple. Anyway, I was curious if this is the norm for converts.

TBMs don't always follow the rules or live by the commandments. Some of them cover up their sins and bargain with God by promising to change or by doubling up on doing good works for the church. Mormons have a great ability to comparmentalize their thinking and push aside whatever they find too painful or impossible to face.
