There are several of us here in Morganton and Lenoir N.C. I can't give names, but you can talk to me on this site.

I'm a chef and back in the seventies we were told to store wheat. I learned to use it for almost every thing, from wheat grass to sweet rolls to bread and home made TVP. I used rye, barley and rice to enhance the wheat. In the eighties I taught cooking classes to help people learn to use all their food storage. Since leaving the church, I don't use wheat very much any more.

I believe the story was about 90% embellishment and the purpose of it was to enhance Joseph's bid for godhood. His parents were as big at lying as he was. I very seriously doubt that any of Joseph's family believed any thing about the church. I would think they were in on it all the time.

Well Dave, is this about women's rights or men's rights. The topic is a little misleading Of course I can float on this either way. I believe in rights for all, especially me. Jim

So that's why I feel so good after drinking pickle juice. I usually drink it for leg cramps but it makes you feel better all over. Thanks for the tip though. I seldom drink more than two drinks. Jim

I suppose that if a person is beautiful, but not nice, that would not be acceptable. On the other hand, if a person is nice but not so beautiful, well, that is acceptable. So the choice is now yours. Nice and beautiful or beautiful and nice. Oh! my! now you've got me confused.

I hope you haven't lost a friend and fishing buddy, but being a bishop is going to take a lot of his time. Maybe this is what he needs to see the light of mormonism.

Well folks, I went to church this morning. The first time in a very long time. The purpose of my visit was to physically meet a very nice and very beautiful young lady for the first time. She is one of us and you hear from her from time to time. Other than that, I will not say any more about her. On the other hand, I heard about the exploits of Nephi and him committing murder to get the sa

Just make up a bunch of lies and sell it as religion like Joe Smith did. You'll make a fortune after you kick the bucket.

What ever it is, it is still a cult, a lying, soul stealing, money grubbing, and soulless cult.

I agree with sexismyreligion. I read from this site everyday and I am touched by some of the stories but, I don't feel a need to make personal contact. Posting on this board is enough.

I think that the first thing you need to do is realize that it is your Moms fault that she is being controlled. She does not have to go to the mormon church. She does not have to let them brainwash her. It is a choice. You have to tell her how you feel and hope she understands. Maybe others on this site can help you more. There are some bright people here. Jim

They want to get Mitt elected and they want to appear more christian. They have to deny, deny, deny. But, they still believe they will get their own planet and that they will be gods.

There are two things that I heard. First, a family came home from vacation and bore their testimony at F&T meeting. Said they felt to pick up a hitch hiker and he advised them to get things in order and also told them to get their years supply of food on hand, they were going to need it. Husband said he felt sure the man was one of the three nephites because he asked to be let out in the midd

My family is really screwed up. Non LDS too. My mother's grandfather is my Dad's great grandfather. Lots of double cousins and a lot of mental retardation as well as genetic problems. I read somewhere that it is legal in some states to marry first cousins, but the blood line has to go a certain way. It's been so long ago that I don't remember the details.

I would not talk to her mother in-law. She may see it as you taking sides against her. She will find out that you are talking to mil and then it will all hit the fan. If you must answer the request, just tell Mil that you will support your sister in her decisions. Just my opinion. Jim
