I have a TBM friend who died in her sleep at age 30 a few months ago. Her husband announced recently that he's engaged to a girl he met on that site shortly after her funeral. It makes me sick :(

I saw this movie on Thanksgiving, and immediately came here to share it/post the lyrics. It absolutely resonated with me! As for the crazy blogger lady, I still can't figure out what the hell is wrong with her!

Reverent. I don't know why that word strikes a chord with me. "Be reverent." they would say as I sat quietly playing with my dad's handkerchief and eating Cheerios from a baggie. Reverent. I can't ever hear that word with out being transported back to Sacrament Meeting <---- and that's another one. Ew.

Oops it happened again... Mesa police arrest a Mormon bishop for allegedly luring a minor for sexual exploitation. Michael Wayne Coleman was a bishop in the western Mesa area. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=617566551625229&set=a.159765707405318.30411.108924385822784&type=1&theater

I grew up in LaPlata (Southern MD) and loved it. I wouldn't hesitate to return to the same little town. I also lived in Northern VA after college, and really liked it...but it was way too expensive to stay. Good luck and enjoy the area! It's a wonderful place to call home!

13. FROZEN!
Thank goodness for friends. If not for the friendships I've built over the years, I would never have anyone to share Thanksgiving with. Oh...I have plenty of family in the area, but I'm not invited to their tables. That's okay. Spent a wonderful afternoon with a few families -- delicious meal, photos, kids playing, smiles...and then I took my girls to see Frozen. There was a song -- &quo

I fell into the trap of it...spent most of the time wondering how on earth they're affording those huge homes and wondering why Meri feels she "deserves" such a big house when she's an emtpy nester! I think their life is far from the perfect image they'd like to portray. I feel like they whine about finances a lot, but they have nice cars, huge homes on big lots, and don't seem to be

I commented. Couldn't help it. "Confused. Isn't the flag a symbol of religious freedom?" My husband is a disabled veteran. My father chose military service over a mission, and our family was treated like crap for it, and my grandfather was a WW2 hero.

My friend just updated her cover to this... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=384350464998381&set=a.338929589540469.60659.338926056207489&type=1 Really? Nevermind the lives lost defending your freedom. In memory of your religion? your wives? Granted, I don't have a clue about the scripture reference, because I don't give a damn. It just rubbed me the wrong way.

I attended an AWESOME LDS funeral several months ago. He was a young guy, in his 40's...sad, sad story, but his service was a beautiful tribute his legacy. He converted in his early 20's to marry his bride. It was awesome because the overwhelming majority of attendees were lifelong friends and family members who weren't members of the church.

The first time I ever attended a non-mo service, I didn't know what to do with myself. I dressed the part...and was *SHOCKED* that other people didn't. It took me almost 6 months before I didn't wear a skirt/dress to that church. DRUMS IN CHURCH?? CLAPPING?? NOT EVERYONE FOLDING THEIR ARMS IN UNISON?? PEOPLE WHISPER AND GIVE A RANDOM "AMEN" DURING PRAYER?? GRACE?? W

How do you know when you've forgiven someone? What do you do with the hurt and anger inside? I'm 40 years old, and feel as if I've waged a battle with anger involving my dad since he found himself a new family -- complete with a new wife, new daughter, and new dogs 20+ years ago. Just when I think it's all good, and it doesn't hurt any longer...BAM!!!! Wrong. Seven years ago, I left th

Absolutely I wish that for him! I guess my experience with romantic, soul-mate love is that it doesn't, necessarily, involve physical intimacy (which, perhaps, I should have specified at first). I have a romantic relationship with my husband, whom I consider to be my soul-mate...but we've had "dry" stretches of not having sex -- complications after childbirth, he had a surgery

Not sure if this has made its way here or not, but a TBM FB friend posted it, and I thought I'd share... https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dnhsDuj285c If he's genuinely okay with accepting a life of celibacy, then I wish him all the best. If he wakes up one day, longing for intimacy, I still wish him all the best...and a future of healthy, fulfilling companionshi
