If you are exed by your BP, he announces your excommunication in PEC meeting comprised of the elder's quorum president (or a councilor if he is not available) and the HPGL (or a councilor if he didn't attend the meeting). In other words, the entire elder's quorum and HPGL presidency knows about it. The bishopric already knows about it as the council was held in their presence. The ward clerk k

I am in their database as an excommunicated person, however, my membership number has been coded for excommunication (the last few digits have been changed to annotate this). The numbers prior to this have not been changed. But I am not counted as a "member" of the church. Yes, the records of my excommunication are available should a bishop or stake president request a copy of th

Mine was that I was sitting on the old brown couch in the chapel lobby waiting to hear the result of the bishopric's determination as to whether I would be rebaptized or not.

Does anyone else recall that we were not to host Bible-study groups in our homes because we may deviate from the doctrines taught in Sunday school?

They take no prisoners and make examples out of those whom disobey the Mormon god. This isn't how a loving, forgiving god operates. My heart just aches.

My excommunication was announced in PEC meeting. PEC includes the bishopric, the HPGL and EQP (or their representatives if they can't make the meetings). The RS president was told. Others "heard about it" such as the former HPGL. These are the ones that I know about. From the above list, you can tell that the outcome of disciplinary councils are NOT private nor confidential.

His love court is just a formality: He has already been exed in advance of his arrival. Why bother going? I didn't.

There are restrooms that you can access through the distribution center located on the left of the Houston Temple. I have been inside the temple. Someone create some rather poor wood marquetry (in an orchid pattern) used in the celestial room. The furniture looked like it was from the 30's era and had been reused after being hosed off from it's warehouse storage. I found it an edifice t

I told him I enjoyed being a member of another church which ended the conversation. I have been away from Mormonism for way too long. I don't have fond memories of it.

Truly, I can't see what the point of having someone they exed nine years ago return to their fold. They have made no effort for years. Ran into a former BP whom said: "You can always repent and return," and just why would I do that? What have I missed in nine years? Toilet-scrubbing duty, foul smelling jute walls in the hallways, watered-down doctrine, a lay ministry whom knows

I would like to visit Colonial Williamsburg. When would be the best time to spend an extended weekend there? Would it be too cold if I went during October? Would the main attractions in Colonial Williamsburg still be open in October? What would you suggest I visit while there? Thanks in advance, Danielle

A massacre never occurred at Mountain Meadows, the unearthed remains have no current significance (because we need to move along), and facts have no relevance (as we will never know the exact details of what actually occurred despite the fact that we "the LDS church" have relevant journals), and the truth is not always convenient. Thank you, LDS church, for showing the method and im

They ordain women to the priesthood. One of their apostles is a woman. They have discounted the BofM. You don't need to believe what is written in it. They do not have the Book of Abraham. The have added to the D&C. They have the Articles of Faith but do not use them. However, they have archived them as part of their religious, doctrinal past. Men and women are not ordained at a certa

"getting off?" That term sounds kind of kinky. Do I need the priesthood for this? :-) You have the last word since I have been up since 3:30 a.m. Good night.

No articles, but the person whom called me was a mission president. Mission presidents are laterally equivalent to LDS stake presidents.
