I need a referral for a friend, an attorney who specializes in polygamous divorce/separation situations. Children involved. Not a troll, honest.

When they begin to argue with you, try not to hit the ball back. Don't argue back. Just do what you need to do.

I could actually have been there, except Arthur Andersen has been out of business for a number of years now. Maybe it was a Deloitte meeting! They have a number of Morgs at high levels in the organization.

Saw it with a great cast in NYC a couple of years ago. I told my nevermo husband that you could tell who the Mormons in the audience were: they laughed the hardest. I slid out of my seat laughing at one point.

I dreamed the other night that I was part of an Arthur Andersen (former employer) "engagement team" tasked with restructuring TSCC into a "pure real estate play" while retaining their tax-exempt status. I was in a conference room with lots of suits and whiteboards and laptops. We were convinced it was possible.

Sign seekers shall not be shown signs. Or, the George Carlin version: "Sister, if God is so powerful, can he make a rock so big that he himself cannot lift it?" "God does not have to answer trick questions."

TSCC has recently begun actually deploying REAL volunteers to help with community issues. They have bright yellow t-shirts and are all excited about being on TV and everything. I saw several teams here in Texas after our May floods. My TBM family member, in her 70s, announced that she and her husband had helped at a shelter on Thanksgiving Day. "It was kind of fun," she reported.

Someone on FB was praising HEB (San Antonio-based grocery stores) for donating and volunteering to help affected people in Hill Country and elsewhere. A TBM friend on FB commented, "I'm sure the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is also helping out!" I commented, "Money from Salt Lake? Really?" Didn't hear anything back.

I think they know they're part of a huge con, and very pleased with themselves.

You don't think being privy to the financials, making decisions about building shopping malls and cutting budgets to stakes and wards, wouldn't clue you that you're running a business for profit and not following the teachings of Christ?

I had it whispered in my ear every Fast Sunday. I was so cute. I could have been reciting Eensy Weensy Spider for all I knew. And, it didn't take. Nor did it take for three of our parents' four children. The sibling who stayed TBM has had three of her four children call it quits as well. The brainwashing doesn't work very well.

How easy would it be to be a "temple architect"? You certainly wouldn't need any creativity.

One of my favorites was when a sister spoke on Fast Sunday and made an impassioned treatise defending her right to brush her teeth on Fast Sunday morning. She'd been told (by someone) that tooth-brushing was considered breaking the fast, and she was concerned about tooth decay for all of us. Her husband was a dentist. Ok. Your turn.

And your boss sucks too. Your team may want to "train" her by making status reports of what you're doing and offering them to her on a regular basis. If she's not crazy but just disorganized, it might help her get on track. The "columns" for the status report might include: Project name Short description Point person Date assigned/due Action items Sometimes super
